Kitesurfing Camp in Akyaka, Turkey
Wind. Water. Community.
One week in Akyaka, Turkey — Europe's most wind-reliable kite spot — where you learn, progress and experience something you won't forget.
Kitesurfing and the community it has brought into my life have given me some of the best and most meaningful moments I've ever experienced. That's why I created OceanSoul — and why I'd love for you to join me in Akyaka, Turkey.
Some of life's greatest moments happen on the water, shared with others.
This is more than a holiday — it's an experience that stays with you long after you've come home.

The weather in Akyaka
Akyaka is a scenic paradise far from mass tourism. No large hotels. No one hustling you. Just authentic Turkey, thermal wind and an atmosphere that's hard to describe — but impossible to forget.
-
Stable thermal wind that builds every morning and holds until sunset — day after day. Expect 15–20 knots.
-
The wind is always there, even when you can't see it in the forecast.
-
September and October: clear skies, perfect conditions and fewer crowds than peak season.
-
September: air temperatures of 25–30°C and sea temperatures of 25–27°C — warm and inviting for long days on the water. October cools slightly to 20–25°C in the air and 23–25°C in the sea — perfect for kitesurfing and yoga without overheating.
-
Warm days with the ideal climate for both kite and yoga.

Who is this trip for?
Come as you are. We'll take care of the rest.
-
Kitesurfing beginners: Your first time on the water with 1:1 instruction, safe conditions and one of Europe's best beginner spots
-
Experienced kitesurfers: Daily coaching and inspiration for your next trick
-
Yoga practitioners / the curious: Daily outdoor morning yoga by the river — whether you've never tried yoga before or you're a dedicated practitioner
-
Solo travellers: Around 60% of our guests travel alone — and go home with friends for life
-
Those who want to switch off: From the moment we pick you up at the airport to the moment we drop you off again — you just show up
-
Those who want it all: Kite, yoga, Turkish food, sunsets and hidden gems far from the tourist crowds
The beautiful thing about kitesurfing, yoga and nature is that they bring people together across all boundaries. Age, background, nationality — it all fades away when the wind picks up. The one thing our guests have in common? They wanted something more.
Our guests are often the most wonderful people — and many of them stay in touch, on and off the water, long after the camp is over.
"A wonderful holiday combining yoga and kitesurfing 🧘♀️🪁🏄🏽♀️ Emely's trips are professionally organised from start to finish. Authenticity, expertise and humour have defined the whole experience. Couldn't recommend it more highly 🕉️❤️"

Elif Hotel — our base in Akyaka
The hotel sits beside the crystal-clear Azmak river, surrounded by mountains and nature. Start the day with a swim in the river, or sit with your coffee on the balcony and let the calm sink in. It's exactly the kind of morning that sets the tone for an entire retreat.
The rooms are bright and comfortable — many with their own balcony and view. Air conditioning, good sound insulation and peaceful surroundings make sure you sleep well and wake up rested.
Beyond the river, the hotel has a pool with sun terrace, breakfast buffet, fitness room and 24-hour reception. And if you're in the mood for a little more, the kite beach, swimming beach and Akyaka's charming town centre are all within walking distance.
Peace and nature right outside your door — and everything else just minutes away.

Further Information - Our FAQ
Yoga
Yoga is great for kitesurfers! Yoga helps i.a. with recovering the body faster and getting both body and mind ready for many good hours on the water! It is of course voluntary if you want to participate in the yoga lessons. The yoga classes are adapted so that both complete beginners and experienced people can participate. Everything is guided and customized so everyone gets something out of it. Yoga is no competition and you just have to come completely as you are. The yoga lessons are based on Hatha yoga, but we also touch on elements from Yin and Vinyasa yoga. The yoga lessons take place outdoors, where we draw the clean, fresh air right into our lungs and feel the elements around us.
Kiteschool
Our base on the kite beach is a comfortable newer kite school with great facilities. Among other things; hot showers, toilets and compresses. You will also find comfortable lounge and chill facilities and a terrace with a view of the spot. There are storage options and you can rent quality equipment from Duotone kiteboarding. There is a restaurant and coffee shop at the beach as well.
Beginner Kitesurfing Lessons
If you don't already know how to kitesurf, it is possible to purchase a beginner's lesson at our camp. If you have already received instruction, but are not ready to manage independently on the water yet, you can continue your journey with the hours you want. The teaching is always 1:1 and you progress at a pace that suits you exactly. Our instructors are carefully selected and since it is their full-time job and teach both in Akyaka and abroad, they have an incredible amount of teaching experience and speak good English. The course is structured so that you gradually develop an understanding of the sport. Safety is always in focus. In the first part of the course, you become familiar with the necessary terminology, safety and how to control the kite. At your own pace, you then continue with various exercises in water that will make you more comfortable with the kite and later ready to get on the board! Everyone learns differently and at a different pace. After finishing the course, you can continue with the teaching if necessary, or join the rest of the experienced people in the group, where there will be daily help and coaching from Emely and Ender. There are a limited number of places for beginners - so booking this must be stated at the time of registration. The price is €70 per hour which is paid to the kite school before departure. There are typically several people on our trips who take a beginner's course - so you are not alone! We are together on the beach all day and it takes place in the same place. It is the instructors on the trip who assess whether your level is good enough to cope independently on the water or whether you need more instruction. If you participate in our trip, you must follow our instructions and rules, etc. in relation to where you can kite on the spot, etc. This is of course also in the participants' own interest, as it is due to safety.
Sustainability on the trip
In kitesurfing we depend on the elements! We love mother earth and the fantastic experiences she gives us. We also love tourism and giving our guests the best possible experience. On our travels, we pay a lot of attention to social sustainability. We work exclusively with locals from Akyaka and contribute to creating jobs etc. in the village. We don't want to take work away, but to create more work for the locals. Do you book e.g. a beginner kitesurfing course you will be taught by skilled locals who also know the wind and water conditions inside and out. Furthermore, the food we eat will be grown in the local area (max somewhere else in Turkey) and will be in season.
