Your instructor
In her early twenties, Emely was deeply captivated by the transformative power of yoga. She quickly developed a daily practice that encompassed not only the physical postures but also pranayama (breathwork) and several other branches of yoga, gradually becoming a natural and integral part of her lifestyle.
In 2015, she completed her first 200-hour yoga teacher training, accredited by Yoga Alliance, earning the title RYT 200. In 2023, she traveled to India to further immerse herself in the roots of yoga and completed a 300-hour advanced training, earning the title RYT 500 – the highest certification offered by Yoga Alliance.
In 2025, she further specialized as a Yin Yoga teacher, focusing on the meridian pathways and their influence on both body and mind. Yoga continues to reveal new paths for Emely – both personally and professionally – and she views her practice as a lifelong journey toward greater balance, insight, and presence. Since 2014, she has traveled the world, exploring new cultures, breathtaking nature, and gathering fresh inspiration for her yogic lifestyle.
Today, Emely teaches weekly classes in Denmark, online, and at retreats abroad. With a personal history that includes both a broken back and a torn ACL, she understands how the body can impose limitations – and how yoga can open new possibilities. For this reason, Emely always adapts her classes so that each posture is tailored to the individual body practicing it.

The teachings
The 8 Limbs of Yoga – A Journey into the Essence of Yoga
The theme of the weekend is the 8 limbs of yoga – a beautiful and profound system that forms the foundation of yoga philosophy and practice. We will explore them both theoretically and practically, giving you an understanding of how yoga can be lived – not just on the mat, but throughout your life.
After the retreat, you will have a clearer understanding of what yoga truly is and why this ancient philosophy has such significance for people around the world.
In a calm, grounded, and authentic way, you will be introduced to:
-
Pranayama – the art of breath and the movement of life energy
-
Bandhas – the energetic locks of yoga that strengthen and balance the body
-
Meditation – both active and silent forms for inner reflection
-
Mudras and Mantras – using sound, movement, and intention
-
Kirtan – group Indian mantra chanting, which opens the heart and calms the mind
Teaching and Experiences
The teaching is primarily based on Hatha Yoga, but we also incorporate elements of Yin and Vinyasa, offering a versatile and holistic experience.
Drawing from my background in yoga therapy, I will share how postures can support various physical and mental imbalances and guide you on how to adapt your practice to suit your own body.
We will also go on a silent walk in the surrounding nature – a walking meditation where you will learn to be fully present as you move.
On Saturday evening, we are joined by Line Bagnsbo, who will guide us through a magical Kirtan session – a heart-opening experience with shared singing and mantra. Through the repetition of the mantra, you will have the opportunity to quiet the mind and experience deep relaxation.
